First Mods Complete (pics)
Ok, so I snuck out to the car and shot a quick picture for you...
This is my mount. It's hard wired through the lead powering the mirror, and I zip-tied the black RJ-11 cable to the aluminum mount to keep the profile as small as possible without putting any strain on the connection. I love this mount - no rattles, noises, or vibrations, and it's built like a tank:

I followed the DIY method detailed in this post from the Valentine1 hardwire thread. Wiring in the F is identical (I know, I wired this in CrazyMPG's car
).

I think it may have settled a little more. It looks great and definitely rides better though the bounce is still there. When you get your coilovers I'll probably hit you up for a ride. I'll post another pic tomorrow, I'm going to meet some others in LB then for some more pics.

I have some new stuff on the car and will hopefully get out to a photoshoot this weekend. I owe quite a few people pictures of various things. I just got the Blitz throttle controller, you might want to consider that also

I am very happy with the drop, it is exactly what I was looking for.

I've seen this mount on various cars - my concern is with this V1 so prominently displayed, are you guys worried about theft when parked or being so visible to police??
(Idea is novel but definitely not smart)
It's not very visible at all in my car. My interior is black, and my front windshield is tinted. You have to look for it to see it - it really blends well in with the mirror mount assembly. And even if it was, radar detectors are legal in California so I couldn't care less if the police see it or not.
