I have and use one but only when the car is scheduled to sit more than three or four days consecutively and it does a good job. I was given one from the Lexus dealer when the battery in my SC-430 crapped out due to sitting in the garage over the winter and the dealer not liking to replace the battery under warranty (which they did).

With my last Vette if it sat for more the 2 weeks the battery would be dead so I had to go out and get a tender. Being a HS teacher I do not drive much during the summer and often my car will sit for weeks at a time, so I am planning on using it again on the F starting week after next. They are a big asset.

I've got the IS-F and the GS sharing a lot of time in the garage. I use this little ditty that can help with "run down" batteries as well as being a battery "tender". A bit different than your standard charger. Highly recommended as it brought one of my batteries "back".
