Im testing out the Blitz Throttle Control unit right now...

____________

_____________

ECO Mode - is used primarily to increase bottom end response. Accelerate point moves to lower end make a car moving earlier than factory stock setting, this reduces the driver having to continually press on the throttle which result to help fuel economy consumption. Regular street driving more likely suit with "ECO" mode.
*** "ECO" is a stance of ECONOMY that the mode saves most fuel consumption compared among in BLITZ Throttle Controller pre-programmed modes. ***

SP1 Mode - throttle is opened greater at lower revs or higher revs and one range higher on mid revs compared to factory settings. This mode consider as Sport Mode with in a balance of comfort of drivability.

SP2 Mode - approximately twice-higher range at lower revs and mid revs compared to SP1 Mode designed for sport driving and circuit use. Significant response improvement which never achieved by mechanical throttle valve (Cable Type).

SP3 Mode - is the most aggressive setting for sports driving, at 50% acceleration, throttle at full engagement at 100%. Most acceleration improvement you could feel among the 4 modes.

Joe, interested in hearing your feedback. It seems like this just amps up the throttle position sensor input which is good to a point though I'm interested as to whether it takes away any of the "feel". Just like with brakes on/off isn't always good.

BTW: Do you have it on the car now and are evaluating or is to be on the car soon?

On the car now...

At WOT in stock trim, the throttle flap is never fully opened..

I believe with this unit the throttle flap opens to 100% on SP3 when @ WOT...

I will have a thread up soon and maybe some track runs this weekend..

** An optional safety feature for the Blitz Throttle Controller is:
Blitz's Reverse Cancel Harness (must be purchased separately).
This safety harness automatically sets the Throttle Controller to your vehicle's stock throttle map when reverse is engaged and then resumes your specified map once you are back into a forward gear. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND using the Reverse Cancel Harness for all street driven vehicles. **

Will this mean you don't have to put it in sport mode? In other words will the unit overide that feature on the car?

I think you guys are getting used to that 100hp extra, under the hood!!!

In my case more like 130hp with my mods...hehe

Wait... this implies that the car is not able to use all of its power unless the throttle is re-mapped using this controller. Am I misreading this? That doesn't seem right...

Also, I thought that this controller only affects the throttle response, so it can't replace sport mode, because sport mode also changes the electronic steering as well as the shift mapping...?

I did a quick drive on a F on SP3 and it was insane for street use cuz it's hard to drive smoothly. It'd be perfect for track use though.

1) Nope you read it correctly...
In stock trim, the throttle flap never opens at 100%

2) I never said it replaces Sport Mode.. it just enhanes the throttle response on the gas pedal .. and it does it also when in Sport Mode is switched ON

3) I agree.. SP3 and Sport Mode make Steet Driving Very Fun!!

joez

So from what you are saying (that the TBody does not open 100% in stock trim) it would be intersting to see if this product would actually make more power... even if its 1 or 2 HP. what do you think?
