Default DRL on or off?

I had mine shut off at the dealer no charge, my reason was asthetic and IMO it gives the car a cleaner look. There was a study published somewhere that there were drawbacks to DRL's for instance glare on oncoming traffic. You can look it up at wikipedia here is the link.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daytime_running_lights When I get tired I can have the dealer turn it on again. What do you guys think of the daytime running lights?

It's a way of life up here in Canada, and has been for more than 2 decades.
I like them and figure it's safer with them on.

i prefer them off... or just replace the OEM bulbs with some yellow DRL's to match the fogs

hard to believe it will bother oncoming traffic since the light is almost always dimmed and it's on during daylight which is many times brighter. a study i read over 15 years ago reported that DRL reduced risk of car accidents, that's why they are standard in Canada and many new cars in the US.

I like them on....but what bugs me (slightly off topic) is when it is rainy and overcast, people don't switch their full lights on. DRL is fine for the front, but you don't have any tail lights. And another thing...lots of people now have DRL and their dash is lite up, so they drive around at night and don't know their tail lights are off. (rant finished)

Because as we all know, wikipedia is the end all when it comes to accurateness

I don't care either way, but it would be nice to have some HID DRL

Mmmm HID DRL would be nice. But I do kinda get annoyed when some people have their high beams on during the day. HIDs would be more holy dodo in your face.
