Default Chrome window trim

Question for all the experts:

I have changed out all the badges and the front chrome grill surround on my F to the Black Chrome. Is there anyone out there selling the window trim as well or will I have to get it painted. I am trying hard to de-chrome the car.

No one sells that other than Lexus. You will need to have it painted.

I had mine painted and really prefer the look on my Obsidian. They did a good job, but if I had it do over again I'd order another trim set also to either have a replacement, or have it painted first before it was ever installed on the car.

That looks really good If you don't mind me asking, who painted it for you and what did they use paint wise?

My buddy owns a body shop. I'm unsure what type of paint they used but it matches well. What I understand the trick to be is to have the right adhesion promoters applied first before spraying the paint. They actually ordered in something special for this purpose. So far the job has been plenty durable and still looks great.

I blacked out the chrome trim b/c I did black pearl emblems all around, and also blacked out the front grill surround. The chrome window strip then just looked out of place to my eye. Last up will be blacking out the tips to my Joe-Z exhaust and also the quad tips. That should be sometime next month.
