This guy does really good videos on car wraps with tips!
Thinking about it but hard to find the chrome trim vinyl to match the 2017+ front grill. Anyone knows what that is called?

Generally speaking, the chrome window trim on a Lexus is more difficult to wrap due to its design than most all other cars out there. There's a lot of rubber around the chrome window trim on the Lexus cars, so you must be extra careful when working around them.

Knifeless tape works wonders if you don't feel confident with a razor knife.

I did mine a few weeks ago using knifeless tape. As Don said, it's a tricky design. Took me longer than I expected. Maybe 3 hours. It gets tricky around the mirror triangle. You can remove the triangle and risk snapping the plastic clips or you can tuck the vinyl. Hard to get super super clean.

One more.. precision knifeless tape. It gets very awkward around the edges there at the back of the triangle. Go too little and you see chrome. Go too much and it looks awkward and can peel. You are working down to millimeter precision to get it right. The tape has to lay perfectly. I'm new at it so I did my best. It's not 100% but close enough. All work post-heated for good sealing.

**also be careful with knifeless tape. it's sharp. i almost cut clean through my finger when i was rushing. be very careful. that will slice through flesh if you aren't careful. thankfully i stopped just in time.

Not too sure what width you need but I'm thinking 4 inches? Deciding this myself as well. Hard to find satin black but matte or gloss really depends if you want shine or not.

Definitely gloss.

base model kias have black matte window trim. you're just making your car look low rent and entry level if you go matte trim.

And not all gloss is created equal. i tried 3m Gloss. terrible. looks like a garbage bag pulled over your trim.

i used vvivid gloss black

it's extremely glossy. particularly over rounded surfaces like mirrors.

I think satin black looks the best.

Definitely Gloss. If wanting to do a gloss / matte contrast the window trim is not the place to do it. I was considering 2 tone black on my car hood, spoilers, diffuser, etc. but resolved that matte trim just looks...Kia-ish

What did you not like about 3M Gloss? I used it on my front grille surround and found it almost too thick. And it's starting to peel at the inward bend at the middle.

was vivid gloss black more pliable / easy to work?

Did you use it yourself, and/or have pics? Seems the vast majority use gloss, and would think it'd match the pillars best, too.
