I think part of the reasoning is the average person who buys each type of car. IS250s are much cheaper, and the average owner might not care about getting dents, parking it outside (more likely to get stolen/damaged, etc.), where as an average ISF owner babies his/her car, resulting in many less insurance claims... Seems logical to me.
