Okay here is an updated quick video that is much better:
you can see how it tricks the car to thing the brake pedal is engaged to allow the car to start. so long I have the key Fob when I get in the car it doesn't shut off at all
^ Its not bad at all. I got a smaller one that is 2way for the extra range. only thing it doesnt have is the LCD but I wanted the smaller one. You can chose what works best for you.
Ok, I checked things out here and Lexus Japan makes a remote start for the IS-F and it sells for about $900. This includes installation at your local lexus dealer. Cheers

So how do I get my hands on one... I don't I'll be able to just walk into my Lexus Dealership and they'll have them...
I'm not quite sure how this can work. I assume you're using an aftermarket alarm or remote start system, and this system is fooling the car so it can start it without hitting the brakes (same thing happens in manual cars where you need to hit the clutch in order to start the car). The main problem (at least for me to understand this) is how the system fools the car into thinking that the key fob is inside the cabin? What you need to do in other cars that have a transponder inside the key is to leave a second key hidden and connected to a device that at the same time is connected to the ECU. This way the car gets the key signal and starts up. On the IS-F (or any other Lexus) you'd have to hide a second key fob inside the cabin so the remote start would work, but how do you lock the car when you get to your destination? The car won't lock the doors if there is a key fob inside the cabin.
Very confusing, unless you somehow managed to start the car without the key fob, and if that's the case then thieves would be happy to be around your car.

It works and does NOT shut off when you get in the car I have 45 seconds or so to get in the car with my keyfob. If I do not and hit the brake the car shuts off Trust me it works and I paid well under 600$ for parts and the install.
I have an remote start installed by lexus, i believe the company is prestige, and i have the same problem, when i hit the button twice it will take approximately 10-15 seconds to start or so, and then when im ready to leave, "I have to restart the car, turning it off, than restart it again, but than SOMETIMES it will shut off and then i have to restart it again. Its sometimes a pain in the ***, but still warms the car" I asked the lexus people they said its because IS has push to start thats the reason why you can't just drive away.

Aight, so what system do you have installed on your F? Do you have to leave the extra fob in the car to make it start? Is it an alarm system or just a remote start? I've used Compustar in the past and it provided security and started my car. Please advise.
