Nope. If I really needed something faster than the F, I would have used the extra $3k and put it into something built faster out of the box.

I'm in agreement with this statement, no disrespect Andy.

Now if the tune available was anything like he was getting out of his C63 it would be a whole different conversation.

Nope. But I think you'll get a lot of yes answers because all the custom exhausts on the market already cost over 1k, and you get <= 20 hp with them.

Would I pay the $3k, no. I'm perfectly happy with the tranny so the TCU never interested me. But the $1.7k for just the ECU to get the 20hp and possible further tuning down the road with possible headers and full exhaust has got my head spinning. Can't decide b/w JIC's now and wait to till further mods release, or just wait for everything to pan out. My head hurts

no way, never. like ryan said if i want something faster i'd just put those 3k toward something faster to begin with. 20hp isn't much (what, 5% of what the car is pushing?), and for 3k that's way too much moneny

looking back on my gs400. i put 600 bucks on a higher stall tq converter, and then 600 bucks on a lower gear ratio rear end, my 0-60 was cut by maybe 4/10 or even 1/2 a second.

i do agree its a bit steep! i would rather buy a viper or something with more to start. you can mod a viper for 3000 and it runs 10's!

Is the OP talking about ECU tuning or something different?

It is a little steep in my opinion as well. Like Flip said, I'd rather take that money and put it towards another vehicle that was faster to begin with or use the cash for something else

I wouldn't. I'd rather get 18 pound rims for 3K instead. Oh wait... I did that already. I'd rather save the 3K towards my next car which will have 500+hp. If I decide to buy out the lease, I might consider getting an exhaust and making it sound a little meaner. Now, if 3K uncorked 60+ hp like the C63, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I hope Lexus is listening to the owners on here. While the F is a strong competitor in the segment, it will absolutely get it's doors blown off by a tuned/modded C63 or tt M3.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but even with the tune and exhaust, etc. we're only looking at about a 40hp increase. MHP has finally given us a tune upgrade, and through no fault of his, we can only get 20 hp.

I'm curious how much more the car has in it with a tune plus all available performance mods?

I have no cotton pickin' idea. I'd need to know what the heck it is, and do some investigating before I said Yes or No. A question like this is, IMHO, silly

I'd rather spend that much on weight reduction.
