does anyone know approx. how much the ticket will be?
im in california and i plan on going to traffic school to get this wiped from my record.

i was doing 56mph in 25mph zone. ooppss
also going to traffic school will help reduce the cost of the ticket?

Hmmm, you have some problems. You are going twice the speed limit (regardless of posted/your actual speed). The judge can/probably will deny traffic school and make you pay a hefty fine. Traffic school will not lower the cost of the ticket.

As far as rescheduling and postponing the court date, the officer will always be advised. If he is on vacation, the court date will be changed. If he does not show, it is probably because he does not want to come on his day off. Remember, if it is his day off, he gets overtime to show up. The OT helps pay the home bills.......I know

I have seen threads in the regular 2IS forum that mention there is a setting to allow the Speedometer / Tach to illuminate Orange if you pass a particular speed, which could certainly come in handy.

I am told this is set with the Satellite Switch to the left of the steering wheel, but I cannot find the option or anything about it in the manual. Does the F lack this option because the cluster is different?

^Yes sir because of the difference, the gauge cluster doesn't light up when you hit a certain speed. My friends IS250 does when he hits 70....It would get pretty annoying if they had it in the F

I don't think it would get annoying because you can set the speed at whatever you like. If you set it for 10 over the speed limit or whatever, it would get your attention when your foot gets heavy. Good to know we don't have it, so I can stop looking for it though!

its more like pushing your luck, when they catch you u get arrested instead of a speeding ticket...many times i go way above the limit then get spooked out and brake thinking cop wil get me, i have alot of points cant afford another one but this car sucks when you drive slow, no fun low end torque

All joking aside, let me attest that having your license suspended for 1 year is NOT fun by any means.

I got my first ticket in the F at the end of December. 4th speeding ticket in the last 2 years altogether. Most of my tickets have come driving a Lexus. I drove Porsche's for quite a while and never got a ticket.

Sorry to hear that. That's at least +3 points on your DMV record (in case the first ticket was cleared at a traffic school). How much did you insurance go up (+20%, +100%)?

yeah. I went to traffic school for one a while back. But when this one goes through it will be 4 points. Insurance didn't go up too bad. Maybe 10-15%.

With 4 points in two years, your license will be suspended.
