Hey guys, im lookin at a "tester" IS-F and wanted to konw waht you guys think. It's a company car which means it prob got the crap kicked out of it..it has 13,xxx miles on it. What do you guys think of this? I'm 99% sure it was never broken in right...but i will only be driving this for 3-4 years and when i sell it it should have 75-85k on it. You guys think this is gonna be trouble?
If you're not going to keep it and its still under warranty the whole time you have it, then I say go for it, who cares if something goes wrong, that's what warranty is for dude!

Ahh then you should be fine. Be sure to check it out in person and make sure the paint is in good shape, the interior was taken care of, do a visual engine check, etc. I would highly recommend the extended warranty

Most of the Lexus Corp "Tester" IS-F's went through some extensive testing just has you have mentioned....
I would have them throw in an Extended Warranty at NO CHARGE... with your deal..
Just to protect yourself past the 4yr/50k mile factory warranty.

I would love to have them do that but i can't since this is an auction car ...but for the price i might pick it up at i will be able to add that warr with my own money and still walk away with some extra $
My buddy works at a Lexus dealership and told me those test cars were abused (I was looking at one) to the fullest, they were taken to a track. He showed me the photos.
My thoughts too. They shouldn't quibble about the extended warranty.
and about 'breakin'.....I don't think too many are broken in much these days.
They leave the factory ready to go....

Again, he said this is for a vehicle to be bought an Auction. Auction vehicles are sold As-Is. However, before the auction they can be inspected, engine started, but not driven.
If it were me, and the price was right, I'd take the plunge. I believe, it would still have the reminder of the factory warranty.
