Default Torn on color- regrets????

Morning all... depending on whether the GX470 enters our stable before or after the IS-F (giving me some time), I'm torn on color. I was sold on Mercury Metallic, but the Obsidian (even though I swore never black again) is really growing on me. Seems to pick up the wheels better and very stealth. And my IS was SGM, which I loved... also, will tint minimum 35%, perhaps 20%.

So, the post: any REGRETS on the color you chose?

Thx for the input....

My IS is Obsidian black and although I love the color when it is clean, it looks like SH@#T when it is dirty. The color shows every little scratch, chip, bird poo damage, swirl mark etc in the sun, so there is a lot of maintenance involved with keeping it looking clean. If I had to do it over again, I would get Starfire or Mercury Metallic, but I also like Matador Red.

I was torn between the blue and my Matador Red...and every time I see my car I smile :-)

Last car was a IS250AWD that was Starfire Pearl. I think i've had my fill of white for a while.

I think the white looks stunning. My 350 is silver...which gets pretty boring.

I'm obsidian and the look clean outweighs the look when dirty for me. With my 20% windows and blacked out trim, I could not be happier with the look of the car....just depends on how much you like washing your car (all the time...) I guess

Yep... I wax my cars every 2 weeks for first 3 months, then about once every 3 months thereafter, wash my car every week (weather permitting)... I was concerned about the marks. My SGM didn't show marks, but as I've already had one... but I think dark looks better with those wheels...

Decisions...

Have you seen my car?....lol

No regrets with SGM. Love that it can "wear" a little bit of dirt and still look pretty good and that it's fairly subtle. Combined the BBS wheels and the black pearl badging look nice on this color, imho.

It's Mercury Metallic, like mine. My wife has a Tungsten Pearl ES350. They both look like pretty much the same color. It's sort of kool having two Lexus's the same color. Originally she wanted red, but there were none in stock. I bought mine three weeks after hers, I had wanted something darker. The dealer had Obsidian, Smoky Granite Mica, and The Mercury. I fell in love with the Mercury, and have not regretted it. Not something darker, is it

You should get SGM for the IS F if you're torn between Obsidian and MM. It's not quite black, but you have the mica/metallic flake in the paint like MM.

Nothing beats a clean shinny black day or night. However, USB is one of a kind

After my Obsidian GS450h and my wife's Obsidian LS460, I decided against Black it is too hard to keep clean and shiny... For me the choice was White or Red, I went for Red because in person it is SO nice !
