Quote: Are the ISPs on the car all 18x8.5?
I edited my post... I can't tell if these are the 18x8 or 18x8.5 on all four corners...

The OP has "fronts" on his 1st post...

With 225 on them I can only assume they would be 18x8.

How is the car now with 225s on the rears? Do you notice more tire slipping or the traction control light flashing more?

I don't think I would need to downsize from 255s with our mild winters in Vancouver but seems like there are way more options with putting 225s on the back.

Thanks for the pix and update!

Quote: Great so this explains it...

Looks like the 18" Lexus ISP Mode Wheels from the 2IS wil clear Front & Rear IS-F Brembo brakes...

Thanks for the pics!!!
.
This will help many IS-F owners..

FYI - These are of course hubcentric, which is always a plus... !!!

Sorry, just so we're clear...ONLY the FRONT wheels from the 2IS will fit all four corners. The regular rear 2IS wheels WILL NOT clear the rear calipers....hence the brutal gouges that mine currently sport.

There is definitely less traction with the 225's. There will be no racing with these wheels, but they should be the correct solution to driving it in the amount of snow that I will encounter. I bought this car to be my daily driver and plan to drive it in any weather. I'll let you know once we get significant snow how it handles then.

Just to be clear...

There seems to be major confusion..

The Front regular 18x8 Split 5 Spoke do Not fit over the IS-F front brakes.
The Rear regular 18x8.5 Split 5 Spoke do fit over the IS-F rear brakes

and at the moment..

It seems the Front 18x8 ISP Mode wheels for the 2IS (optional) fit over the IS-F brakes on all four corners.

- I think you mentioned your issue in the other thread was with the 19" Optional F-Sport Wheels...

Sorry for the confusion

I don't know which ISx50 wheels they put on my car (you can judge from the pics)....but they are the FRONTS on all four corners and obviously they fit. From your answer Joe, I would assume that they are the optional wheels?

You are also correct that the original issue was with the 19" F-Sport wheels....my bad I assumed that the offsets would still be the same.

Good information being shared here, thanks everyone.

I'm leaning more and more towards an all-season setup on the stock rims (going to 235/35 in front). Hopefully the 1/3" drop in the front sidewall height isn't a problem. All seasons are a compromise, but spinning the wheel (LOL) on an 18" setup sounds worse.

I put in a call to my service manager, he's looking around to see if other options are available for all-seasons (besides the Goodyear & Toyos that have been posted). I'll post any updates.

I dunno, I look at winter time as time to be conservative anyway. The thinner tire should be fine but it depnds one how much snow you expect. I can change rims in an hour or less so if its too tempting and the roads are good...its back to summers
