Default Clearbra Installed! Pix Inside.

I finally got the clear bra done for my F. I went with the bumper kit + the headlight/foglight kit. I also did the insides of all 4 door handles, which I think is a good investment (Protection from nail scratches). I don't know if you guys could tell from the pix, but I also got the blue fog overlays. I decided not to get the hood kit because the line on the hood would really bug me.

I went to Instyle Graphics in Torrance. For those who don't know, they share the same shop as VIP status. Anyways, they did an awesome job and it was a good deal. I can barely tell that the bra is there. They do a lot of high-end cars, and I highly recommend them for those in Socal.

At the shop:

Close up (You can barely see it):

Nice ride! Maybe you could do the whole hood if your don't want to see the line?

Good looking install! I really like the blue overlays you put on your fogs, really sets off the bottom half of the front bumper The inside of the door handles is a good idea, I never thought of putting it there, maybe I should now

I have the half one up the hood and I still wax, I'm just really really careful around the line in the hood

very nice man...I had my clear bra done at Aero Tect...did the full hood, full bumper, front grill edges, full fenders, door cups, A-Pillars, side mirrors, headlights, yellow fog overlays, rear bumper apron, and the nav screen. Just noticed you also got Michelin PS2's!!! Very Nice man.

Thanks for the comments guys.

avgj0F:Their number is (310) 618-8886. Ask for Harris. Or you can go to instylegraphics.com. They used Avery and Ventureshield PPF film, and the fogs are Lamin-X.

I decided to not do the full hood because it's $$$, and it's highly unlikely that something will chip the top of the hood. So I'd be doing it just to avoid the dreaded line... which is not very cost effective.

I haven't waxed my bra yet. I heard that you shouldn't use Carnuba wax.. only synthetic. Any truth to that?

CrazyMPG: Yea I got lucky it came with the Michelin's.. Although I'm looking to get new rims soon.. so they'll kinda go to waste!

Looks good..

But the HOOD is the biggest thing to protect..

I went with a 24" hood kit with the line and of course i have a small rock nic above the line...

If I were to go back a year ago, I would do the Whole Hood...

In other words, go back and get the hood done.. Trust Me..

You do not want to repaint it in a few years....

Default they're absolutely right!!! only use "synthetic" type wax

Yes, I use Meguiars NXT "synthetic" (there are several brands to choose from) and no residue probs at all but i still am kinda careful about not getting wax under the line on the hood where the clearbra is...

Doh! That's what some people have been telling me too. What's weird is that on my previous car (350z) All the craters were on the front bumper. I had literally no dings or scratches on the hood. So I figured that it might be true for this car as well. It looks like that might not be the case. I'm gonna have to think about that hood/fender kit.

I use NXT wax also... cool now I know I can use it on the bra as well.

BTW I'll take pictures of my door handles and post it up when I get a chance. I don't know if it'll show in the pictures though. It's hard to see.

Yeah considering the front bumper is "plastic" and the hood is steel, you want to protect the hood. Costs much more to fix/replace. I'm pretty sure all clear bra's are power washable, machine buffable etc... That stuff is pretty tough. Great looking ride

PS I too found a scratch that was higher than my bra on my hood about a week after install. DAMN
