The manual says to bring it in the dealer for bed-in. Has anyone done it? Is there a "special process" or they just take it out on an open road and do a few hard brakes?
Never done it, never heard about doing it until now I guess its something you can do on your own, dealership never said anything about it so
I'm sure you can do it on your own
You can do it yourself. I've done it with every new car I've owned as soon as possible. My brakes last an amazing amount of time too. I have 57k on my IS350 and I'm still on the original TSIB pads and rotors with wear projecting about 100k service life.
I bought my car at Longo Lexus (thanks Elise!). By the time I got to the Ritz in Marina Del Rey, the brakes were fully bedded. It's not that hard to do.
