has anyone heard if there is an exhaust coming out.. ??
if not I am sending my car to some highend exhaust shop to do a rear section.. for the F

 

Calm down chris..lol Good things come to those who wait. I heard that Five Axis, Borla and Hennessey are working on some stuff give them some time.... I'm in the same boat I would like to mod as well....

 

Hmmm makes me wonder if they will be taking out those quad exhaust stack tips?.. Most likely its just a muffler that will connect to the tips though..

 

tanabe called me today to use my car as a test car.. I have no problem with that but told them to much of a short notice.. they have several plans but just dont have time to do that..

 

heh...my car went to Tanabe yesterday at torrance...lol Still there as I type this...I"ll probably pick it up Friday...they may be done today, but I don't want to go while there is traffic...lol

 

ya they told me they wanted to remove all suspension and brakes and then lower the car see if it bottoms out.. and remove the exhaust and start it first to see how it sounds..
i was sorta skeptical about that.. so i passed.. but cool let me know how it rides..

 

actually they aren't taking anything off on my car...they just doing measurements cuz they don't have any prototype parts for the car right now...Tanabe called me today to tell me what the status is...so I am sure it should be fine.

just a bit jealous but let us all know how this turns out..

 

well just got my car back...tanabe just did measurements for springs, coilovers, exhaust, and tower bar. They said that the exhaust and tower bar would most likely be made, but they will not make springs for the car because they said it would only lower it roughly .2 inches and no one is going to buy it. The coilovers they are still thinking about, but in the next 2-3 months Tanabe will be making prototype test parts for the exhaust, tower bar, and maybe the coilovers. When they bring the parts back from Japan, they will give me a call to do test fits. Well just wanted all IS-F owners to know what the status is for Tanabe making parts for the IS-F.

P.S. I asked Tanabe about the exhaust and they said they will have a few prototypes to make...one that follows the regular IS-F exhaust that don't connect to the tips, and others that they get rid of the IS-F tips and put a real stacked exhaust?...heh
