Default Exhaust Tips

So ever since I got the Tanabe Touring Medallion a month ago my wife has been commenting about how "loud" it is. It made me laugh because this was one of the quietest exhaust out there. My kids love it. They want to be taken to school in the "race car." I love the way it looks and sound but I understand that having an exhaust is not for everyone, and since the GS is officially my wife's car I'm probably going to have to take off the exhaust at some point soon.

Having said that I went online and found these exhaust tips, to weld the stock exhaust, which I think most closely resembles the exhaust tips on the Tanabe.

Here is the GS with the Tanabe

Exhaust Tips

This one has a 4in outlet while the Tanabe has a 4.25 in outlet.

What do you guys think? or

I think it is a good looking tip.

It sure looks more than 1/4" smaller in that second pic, looks more like almost 1" difference.

I say don't do it! give her more time to get used to it first

You are right the tanabe website says it is 115mm or about 4.5 inches.
I'm hoping she will come around. Only time will tell.

Well if you have to take off the Tanabe exhaust, the tips you found look great.

Believe it or not I found it on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

It was less than $20 shipped for each one.

The only thing I did not like about the exhaust is the weld line on the inside is visible if you really look at it.

I can see that little line you're talking about. That would bug me on a double-wall tip, but that's just me.

I contacted the seller regarding shipping to Hawaii. They said it would be $35.02 per tip via FedEx. The tip itself is under $13. Get real!
