I do agree, this economic climate though doesn't favor this ENTIRE market. Everyone is pretty much down in sales.
true, but i have a feeling there won't be a real shortage of is-f, so maybe we will see price drop soon

my forecast is also middle of this yr

I'll agree w/ rominl & 1sicklex. Woodfield has an ISF sitting outside at the entrance. The cars ain't cheap and BMW & MB lowering their prices hasn't helped.

I probably could have saved a grand or two by waiting, but I'm glad I didn't.

yep... they should hide it and you should wait for it for 6 months... it would be an sucess!

:-).

Seriously. You can always find deals. But low numbers of IS-F means that weather ES sells more or less (which is what article talks about) really does not matter to IS-F.

At the end of the day, you will be able to find better discounts on M3 due to higher production.

Let me also add while we know and love the IS-F, I doubt very few Lexus owners as a whole and the general public know about the car. Its not like Lexus advertised it like the new LS or anything.

I am positive there are TONS of people that go to the Lexus lot and see the car and ask "what the hell is that". I just pray the salesmen are trained to sell the car.

Yes, I love Lexus but I am no sheep. With the usual heavyweights like the M3/C 63/RS4, its a tough sell, even with a few hardcore Lexus owners.

Will the gospel of the IS-F spread to help sales (word of mouth).

IMO, Lexus loyal will buy the car. What the IS-F has to do is get a few German/Italian etc car owners to buy it and exclaim to their buds "wow, this IS-F is amazing, I am shocked its a Lexus".

I also PRAY Lexus doesn't give up on this first effort, even if sales don't match their expectations. I hope they evolve this car and give the 3IS an IS-F as well as see a GS-F and other "F" cars in the lineup.

Lexus of Valencia offered me $1000 off MSRP...i declined. There are better deals around the corner.

Invoice on a loaded IS-F is 55k, theres no way im giving the stealership a 5k profit in these market conditions.

They normally have approx. a 15% profit margin not including their holdbacks.
