Need Hacks, Cracks & Easter Eggs for ISF
hi Folks,
I'm back after a long absence. Traded in my IS350 today for a black on black ISF.
I need help!! I need to disable the seat belt chime (I found this one - see below)
I need the trick to allow me to play with the NAV while I'm driving.
The old menu, volume, tap top left and bottom left twice isn't working.
Finally, can somebody post instructions on how to set the Lexus Personalized Services? I did that on my old IS350, but don't remember how to do that.
If anybody has any tips or trick for the ISF please post it!
Dave

I was able to get the seat belt chime off by following some instructions for the IS350. What was missing from those instructions is that the seat belt should be buckled before you start.

1. turn the key to the ON position which means pressing the start button twice on the new IS since it doesn't has the key, foot off the brake
2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B). Even if the ODO is displayed, cycle through until it displays again (new - DK)
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

Woodfield Lexus. Too many potholes to do anything, plus I want to break the car in... That said, I opened it up a bit on 53 yesterday!

There is No NAV trick override..
You either do the Nav wire(s) hack.. or you pick up a Nav & DVD override unit which is Plug & Play deal ...
(search my thread in the IS350 forum)
You can also search some "easter eggs" threads for the ISx50, that you can try on your F
I love my seat belt chime OFF..

There is NO Nav overide function there...none for 07-08
(hasn't been there since the 2006 model)
It goes like this..
Press Display Button... Now inside the smaller boxed area...
Tap top left once, bottom left once, top left once, bottom left once, top left once, bottom left once.

That doesn't do anything besides get into into the Tech Service Menu Screens... for systems check and some other options.
