Seat ventilators
Is it true the ISF doesn't have seat coolers or ventilators? The one I saw up close didn't have them and my sales rep didn't seem to think so. Correct me if I am wrong please.

It's not like it's much of a difference... the ventilation was barely noticeable in the 250 and 350.
Besides, it's worth it. The new seats feel 1,000 times better than the standard seats.

Okay, now that is confirmed I say what a crock. We are paying $60k for the car and they don't get seat coolers? That is part of the reason I bought the IS350 over the 335i when I was looking them. I live in Las Vegas and that is a huge advantage for the AC system. I don't like that one bit.
If you live in Washington than it probably doesn't matter to you(unless it is DC). If it is hot in your area it makes a difference.

I have a rather bulbous butt that needs to be kept cool even in Washington weather. SilverBull, it sounds to me as though you wouldn't buy an "F" even if the dealer discounted it as they did your 350. Guess that's why they make three models of the IS.

You may be right on that one. I expected it to be a bit more when I heard this car was coming out. I just had different expectations of the car. I also thought the price range they brought it out in was a little high. I like my IS350 a lot but one of the things that sold me on the car was the seat ventilators actually. My wife has an RX350 and during the summertime her seats get damn hot here. I personally think it makes a difference.
Oh, and I don't understand the person who never used the seat coolers or heaters. Not sure what to make of that. Does he turn on his stereo also or Nav?

No one ever said they didn't use the heated seats. The point is that the ventilated seats, as stated by hundreds of people on this site, are practically worthless because they're hardly noticeable. It has nothing to do with being in Washington, either. I don't use them because they don't really work. And that's true for people in 90 degree weather or people in 50 degree weather.
By the way, it was 90 a few times this past summer in Washington, and in the 80's for the rest of the time. You don't think I wished the IS had better cooled seat ventilators?

I see, so you've used every single feature on your car? And you don't understand anyone who hasn't used every single feature on his car?

I spoke to a Lexus Rep the other day at the opening show here in Las Vegas and expressed the concern about not having the cool option. He says that the seat was lowered cause the car was to be track driven and a higher seat would be difficult for the driver to wear a helmet. I just shook my head and said OK. What do I know? I actually use the seat heater here in Vegas more than I do the cool option on my IS350. Other than my wife, kids and dog, nothings perfect. Still waiting for my Neiman Marcus ( Black and more Black )

Actually someone did say they didn't use the heater or cooler. Sorry to **** you off but that just sounds odd that you would never use that option. How long have you had your car? That is an option most people use. I think I was in a feisty mood when I wrote that. I think it is dumb to take out an option that is on the cheaper version.

I use both options in my car religiously in Chicago weather. i have black leather, so the "Nut Coolers" are nice in the summer if the car has been in direct sunlight.
