Default Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS)

Anyone know if there are any LPS settings that are not documented in the manual that I can get the dealer to do before I take possession of the car? I know for my GS there were a number of settings that I didn't know existed until I stumbled across them on this board.

I'm sure the car is fairly new and not every dealer is yet verse in all its features and some don't have any in stock to even check or try them.

Yes there are some new LPS settings and they are all listed in one of the booklets that comes with the car. One of the new LPS settings alows the dealer to turn off the seat belt alarm if you don't want it on. You can also turn it off the old way, same as on the IS250/350.

There are literally dozens of settings that can be changed that aren't listed. They're not really LPS's, though. The ones that are listed are ones that Lexus wants you to use and enjoy. The ones that aren't listed are the ones that Lexus would rather you NOT fool with, like DRL and seat belt buzzer.

As I say, the seat belt buzzer is now one of the LPS settings.

Although it can be turned off with the Lexus scan tool it is definitely NOT part of the LPS settings. Lexus does not want you fooling with that one. See this link for the full list for your model car.

Wrong again. Please look at the last item on page 57 of the Lexus IS F 2008 Owner's Manual Quick Guide where it lists "Seat Belt Reminder" as an LPS. DRL are also listed as an LPS on page 56 of the same Manual.
