. It would have been so much better if the rumour was true about the production LF-A being the pace car. Heck even a camo'ed LF-A would have worked . Toyota would have gotten the attention of hundreds of millions of people worldwide with such a pace car.
Lexus better show the production LF-A at Tokyo, otherwise a lot of people are going to be dissapointed especially given the production GT-R will be at the Tokyo show.

My thoughs as well, but this is still exciting. I wonder if anybody will be smart enough to get the scoop from the pace car drivers on how it drives compared to the regular AMG pace cars....
i really wish they kept those wheels instead of making them pure black. i dont think people really understood what they were voting for on the wheel choice poll sent to lexus.

should have made the poll with pictures stating which color the wheel would be and how it would look like.

I agree with you here. I voted for gunmetal based on a misunderstanding of the polished wheel.
However, I have seen the gunmetal up close on the white pre-production IS-F and it looks good as well. I think it will look very nice on my black IS-F.

I don't see why you think these will be the safety car. I haven't seen anything even close to official as an announcement and I would be shocked to find the MB safety car and medical car not doing their standard duty. These might run around some but come Sunday I expect to see Bernd Mylander driving the AMG.
Even worse, it looks like (initially) there are NO Lexus pace cars at all at Fuji, based on pictures from the track. Several AMG cars have been spotted on track though, including the AMG pace car.
