V Land Headlights Issues
2011 Lexus ISF
Just installed my V Land headlights
The passenger side lights work fine
The drivers side low beams are not working
After I start the car it runs but drains the battery and needs to be jumped the next time it’s started
Replaced the battery - same results
Replaced the two 15AMP HLP fuses - same results
Any suggestions what to do next?
TIA

Just have to get the multimeter out at this point. Is there current going to the low beams - if so then it’s a bad unit. If not, it’s a connection or something else, etc. I imagine various Vlands are made for different models 2008-2010 versus 2011-2014 which have different pin-outs on the harnesses. That could maybe be a factor in issues. I will say that I’ll never purchase Vlands. I’m in around 6-7 ISF/IS based groups on other platforms as well as this forum and see a lot of problems with them reported
I'm gonna ask a dumb question here, but I'm assuming the drivers-side headlight was working when you pulled it? Have you tried reinstalling the drivers-side headlight to see if it still functions correctly?
(I realize it'll be a PITA to re-remove the front bumper if you've already reinstalled)
If the OEM headlight still works, you'll know you've got a defective VLand
If the OEM headlight now doesn't work (and did before) then you'll know something has been damaged. The most likely culprit would be damaged pins, or a wire that scraped on something (probably close to the headlight assembly during installation) that's causing a ground-fault/short.
Good luck!
