At RR Racing we charge a flat fee of $800 (if bought from us) and consider it 6-8 hours. We also recommend doing motor mounts as well and we discount the tune when paired with a header purchase.

Having never done them before, it tooke me about 12 hrs. I did this over a few days.

 

To be really fair here, I wouldn't allow a customer to do this without new engine mounts (regardless of their part selection, OEM or aftermarket) because the OEM header likely cracked from too much engine rotation because the mount was shot. If someone from the ATL asked me to help with this I would insist on new mounts simply because the new headers are going to get hurt right away without replacing the mounts. FWIW, I said it would take me 6 hours, but that doesn't include an alignment. A quote for 6 - 8 hours is definitely very fair based on actual time to complete the job especially if it includes the alignment.
