Spotting the dopest ISF I have ever seen. Looks 1000x better in person.
Right when I was about to leave the track after I got done packing, I saw this orange ISF on a trailer passing by and I thought I was tripping because I did not see a single Lexus at the track that day. I also looks like a ISF that I knew and follow on instagram. Then it disappeared so I for sure thought I was tripping. Then I saw it back up to park and I was like NOOO WAYYYYYY IS THAT WHAT I THINK THAT IS and quickly drove over to where he was. Coincidently, he was parked by the bathrooms which I badly need to use. I asked Justin if I can take photos of his ISF while he was unloading his trailer and he kindly said of course. The I spoke with him and told him after briefly and he was a pretty cool dude. I never met him in person but send him a few DMs in the past about track related questions and he was pretty cool back then as well. Really nice genuine person. Looking forward to one day being at the same track as him.
Here is the photos I took. UPDATE: he is selling it now IG: @needsadjustininc
Scored these wheels off FB Marketplace for a steal. I purchased these for exactly how much I sold my previous RCF wheels. $800. Came with tires as well.
Weds WedsSport SA-20R in BLCII
Specs: 18 x 9.5 +38 squared
Tires Michelin PS4S 255/35/18 squared
I had to put a 15mm spacer in the back to fill in the wheel well to make it more flush. It pokes out since 15mm was the smallest spacer I had. The front spokes out a little but Im sure with a proper professional alignment and some camber I am sure they can fit a little more flush.
I plan on moving up to 265/35/18 tires once these set of tires are done.
Man these wheels looks so sick. I cannot stop looking back at the car.
Just picked up these Tein Flex Z coilovers from Facebook marketplace for $400. they have been lightly used with about 10K miles on them. With in the last year, I suspect my OEM shocks are giving out and made the ride quality worse. I was planning on waiting to upgrade to a “high end” coilover that will be great for both track and daily driving but my back could not take it any more. I saw this sweet deal and could not pass it up. This is mainly for the daily drive and I suspect it will perform okay on the track. These will be a “temporary” fix for the bad ride quality from bad shocks.
From what I hear/read from other users in the Lexus community and other platforms, TEIN coilovers are really really good…especially for the price point. High quality and great for the daily drive. They have other coilovers in their line up. The one that I was originally after was the MonoSport which are more suited for the track but still good for daily driving but they have been hard to get a hold of and that pushed me away from them.
I cannot wait to get these on soon. Got another track day coming up this month so I will report back on how the coilover along with the new wheel set up does.
As I was driving back home from work on a Friday. Got a full tank of gas, left work early, looking forward to the weekend because tomorrow I will be installing my coilovers. Half way through my ride, I hit a bumpy road and then BOOM I hear something break. I was like oh sh!!!!!!t that was that. The car was very hard to control and I assumed I popped a tire. Finally pulled over once I found a spot on this narrow *** back road and checked everywhere and did not see a flat or any damage. I checked the engine to see if something happened and still nothing. I was so confused and worried because clearly something bad happened but I couldn't figure it out. Then something was just telling em to check the front left wheel not sure why but my gut was saying check that wheel/fender. I saw the front wheel was more cambered then I remembered so I checked. I looked inside the wheel well and I saw the upper control arm completely separated from the knuckle. I NEVER seen anything like that happened. I have no idea how the castle nut broke off. I then decided to drive down some more to find a better spot for a tow truck to pick me up. Man so unlucky.
Once I finally got a used UCA, it was time to finally install the Tein Flex Z. For those who ever worked on suspension work for the ISC, how know how much of a PITA the rears are. I got these mostly for the daily since these Sacramento roads suck and my old shocks are worn out. I expect these to be great on the road but decent on the track. I plan on upgrading in the far future to a Road and Track Coilover but those are expensive.
Tein Flex Z vs F Sport Springs on OEM Shock Damaged Ball joint vs Not damaged ball joint Much better The rears
Took the opportunity to rent a lift for $12 an hour. After a hour or two of adjusting I finally got the ride height I wanted. Once I drove around I realized one crucial rookie mistake I made....I forgot to account for my weight/passenger weight along with road conditions. I was too low and I kept rubbing hard on bumps and dips. It gotten so bad that I pulled over and adjusted the left rear so it van at least stop the rubbing. Still needs to be adjusted more but this will do.
Before Before Before Before Rare photo of a ISC on the lift After After After After Man this look sooo good After driving around for a bit Slowly settling in Might be too low LOL Am I cool yet? Do I have clout? More adjusting on the side of the road Raised it up
Did the usual track day prep. Got a proper alignment, Bleed brakes, adjusted ride height. washed the car. Tried out some wrap samples. Nothing special going on here.
Engine bay cleaning More wrap samples More wrap samples getting an alignment at Cali Custom Alignments
Some track day photos from Thunderhill West with Turn8.
Took the IS350C to another track day at Thunderhill West but with Turn8. Great turn out and had a blast. I even got a a PB of 1:36. Only differences from last track day was new wheels and tire set up along with coilovers. If you want to see the lap times, head over to my instagram @ _ droptopis _ .
First day back on the forums and read your whole thread. Love your progress and build! Heavily modded verts are hard to come by, let alone a full build documented. Good work and subbed to see what's in store

Thank you! Much appreciated! Glad to see a OG back on the threads.
The car looks very aggressive now. I like it a lot! It's inspiring me to get one but I would removing towards making it a ISF-C. I haven't seen too many conversions done.

thank you! I actually plan on converting it in the future. Currently upgrading and updating suspension for now.
Finally got around to replacing my coil pack and spark plug. I ordered them many months ago and had them sitting in their box for who knows how long. This was a very easy DIY.
all you need are 10mm socket and a 5/8 spark plug socket. I got mine from Harbor Freight for like $10. I watched a few YouTube videos and then tackled the job. Very easy to be honest. I was a little nervous since I did not want to mess up the engine.
the left side was the hardest part. The middle and rear coilpack were the hardest to get to since the intake manifold was in the way. Even when I disconnect the harness from the coilpacks and other parts of the engine I still did not have enough clearance.
i ended up dropping one of the bolts for the coilpacks repetitively until I lost it for good. I had to run to O’Rileys to get a replacement bolt. Came back and tired to put it in and no kidding i dropped it again and again and lost that one too. Luckily I had a pack of 4 LOL. Second attempt, dang near dropped and lost that one too but luckily I finally got it and the job was complete.
OEM DENSO Coilpacks & NGK Sparkplugs Old…gross New vs old New vs old Old vs new Old vs new Old vs new Right side done. Very easy Left side complete, I hate this side. This side took twice as long if not longer. All old ones are out Close up
