USA vs. Canada
** 2010 IS250 Convertible **
Hey folks,
I need to buy some brakes from Rock Auto, but there seems to be a difference between the USA version and the Canada version.
I am in a different country from my car, so I don't have access to the VIN (so I don't know which country my car originally came from), but I recall having checked my calipers in the past and they were the larger version (32 vs. 28, I think).
Is that enough information to be able to tell whether I need the USA version or the Canada version?
Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Dave, was the VIN physically removed when you purchased the car (assuming it was imported from either US or Canada)? It should be stamped in several places on your car.
Just reread your post, you probably mean YOU are not in the same place as your car. Could anyone just take a picture and send it to you? Not on any of the paperwork when you purchased?

Not talking about the paper, talking about searching your email virtually. Nobody ever emailed you details or sales contract or receipt or signing up for insurance, etc. anything you could search up and find the VIN on it?
I constantly search for my car/ truck VIN just by searching my emails to my insurance agent adding the car - fastest and easiest way for me to find them.

A dead giveaway if it’s Canadian or US is the gauge cluster. Are main numbers on the speedometer and odometer in Metric or Imperial?
I would probably start there.
EDIT: The Canadian version would have KM in big numbers, and miles in small numbers. The US model would be the reverse. JDMs would only show km/h.
