Default Nice Day to go Topless

We bought our car during the worst drought in California's history. We barely got home when the rains started. We have manage to get out a few times but yesterday was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to put both the top and the windows down for the first time. We live in the boonies. On purpose. The main legal industry around here is cattle ranching. I took some pictures of the area on our drive yesterday. The first one shows Mt. Lassen in the background. Could have called it Mt. Baldy before we bought the car but there is finally some snow.

A short distance up the road you start seeing the first of many miles of incredible rock walls. This is a volcanic area and it is very rocky. Almost impossible to sink regular fence posts. A local rancher has been keeping his crew busy during slower times clearing the fields of rocks and building these walls to keep them in. It is a project that has been going on for a great many years.

I am still amazed by the amount of labor and skill involved in building these walls. You really have to be close to them to appreciate the size. They are at least 5-6' wide and all dry stacked.

Yes , beautiful weather indeed to enjoy The vert. it looks a lot better with the optional f-sport wheels. Very interesting rock walls

The wheels are nice. The brakes are fantastic! At least when I get to decide when to apply them. I had to learn about the Pre-collision system and how to disable it. Where we normally drive, the car has too often decided we were going to collide with the oncoming terrain on all hell breaks lose! Bells ring, the seat belts tighten up, and the brakes come on so hard the ABS kicks in. Not cool.

Wow...that fence is amazing and the scenery it beautiful. I got some top down time Saturday too.
