Default 2014 is-c?

So I've seen photos of the upcoming 2014 IS 250/350 sedans, but I have not seen or heard anything about a convertible. Are they going to make one in 2014? Is it planned but delayed? Just wondering if there was any news on this.

I believe all that has been confirmed is that the 2014 IS C is going to be a carryover. Not sure exactly when a new IS C will be coming.

The IS F will be a carryover as well, for 2014.

Was just at the dealer two weekends ago and asked about a new design on the C. They have no news on a change for the C. Same body style will carry over on the 2014. Rumor is the C is going away. Maybe to be replaced by one of the concepts they have been showing at the car shows. Sort of sucks. I had an SC, now gone. I had an IS-C, on the way out. Had hope that something else was on the way. And was going to wait. Oh well, on to the 2014 IS sedan. Bummer.

Wow! I'm so glad I grabbed my '13! I was so afraid of something like this. I love my car. I have wanted one forever and the time was just right. I saw this F-Sport package on the showroom and knew I had to have it. I was worried about the '14 coming out and me being sorry. Now it looks like I made the right decision.

BTW....Hi everybody. Good ole first post here!

I know Lexus is working on the RC Coupe. I bet a convertible version will replace the IS-C.

I'll probably be ready for a new car by then.

Default RSC convertible

I just purchase a 2014 ISC and the dealer mentioned that the 2015 ISC will be the last year for the convertible. The RC Coupe in convertible is in the works but most likely won't be ready until 2017, at least that's what the dealer said.

Congratulations on your new ride. I've heard the same about the RC.

Welcome news - though if they won't have it out til 2017, I would think Lexus would be able to continue profiting off the IS-C for another year to avoid a convertible gap. It's always been a low volume seller so another year without an update won't really make a difference.

Default convertible gap

If you look at the production numbers for the ISC, you'll notice the exponential decline in production in the US so it's probably cheaper for them to scrap the model and start to retool now on the line.
