Credit card programming problem

My dealer ship can not seen to program my credit card key for my new 2012 IS250C

My 2010 IS had no problem with getting the credit card programmed

Has anyone else had this problem

I wanted to use the wallet key from my 08 IS250 and the dealership said they could not reprogram it. I did a bit of reading around and it looks like they may be able to do a "master reset" on the car and re-add all of the keys. When I questioned the dealership they said they've run into issues in the past when having to attempt this procedure... so they didn't want to try it on my car.

Tell the dealer to change the battery in the card. These cards sit around for ages, so the battery will run down. Once it is changed, the dealer will have no problems programming it.

I had the same issue with my CT200h smart card. . Dealer fooled with new card for almost two hours and could not program it. Finally they changed the battery and it programed fine.

Once you ave a smart card key you will love if. Mine is always in my wallet.
