Default IS 350-c HOW much did you guys get it for.

Okay well my baller friend just when to Longo Lexus to pick up a BLUE IS 350 c they told him they only have 3 IS 350 c in blue so far in the U.S or CA. so they are not willing to lower the price at all.... so he got it MSRP for $56,000 out the door. I think he pay way too much for it, how much did you guys get your IS 350C for?

If someone wants to pad the pockets of a dealer, that's his/her perogative. But I'd never put myself in such a position. Waiting a few weeks or months can help save hundreds, sometimes thousands. A simple email search to area dealers will yield inventory results. There's really no reason to pay sticker unless money isn't a problem or you have to have the first of whatever before anyone else.
Having said the above, this is why I have zero guilt for agressively haggling down a low price. For every one time I do this, five other people just paid top dollar.
Now that I think about it, if it weren't for people like your friend, there wouldn't be a way for dealers to give out those really good deals to the few who wait for them. So send a thank you to him!

I don't know why price threads always get started.

First off, as long as the buyer is happy and thinks they got a good deal, then that's that. It's over, and it doesn't matter what price was paid.

Second, the price is what the price is. It's just a number for a unit. It really doesn't matter what -I- paid for it, because the price is what the dealer is willing to do for -you-. Just because one person gets a deal doesn't mean the other will.

So, knowing that I paid XXX price does nothing for someone else. You can't go into your dealership (or even the same dealer as mine) and say you know someone that got it for XXX price and therefore they must sell it to for the same price. Well, you can, but if they don't agree you leave and you don't have the car.

Also, none of this includes potential trades, which can skew numbers too. If you pay 5K over MSRP, but get 5K more for your trade, then it's a wash. The opposite is true too.

Like I said, see number 1. If the buyer is happy, then it doesn't matter.

It's unlikely the buyer was happy about paying full sticker.
