IF there are any 2009 changes to the ISx50 or additions like the coupe or convertible.. we should know very soon..

Since the 2009's would be hitting our market around end of Aug or 1st week of Sept 2008..

If we don't see something soon, they just might push it back to Dec 08' or Jan 09'.. just like they did with the IS-F this year..

or Lexus just might move it up to 2010 all together...

P.S. - keeping the four doors....

We can't vote for 2 outcomes? I wan t to keep the sedan and add a second car to the stable. Something VERY sporty.

Ariel Atom K20, Corvette, Lotus Elise are the most likely choices given my budget. GT-R in my dreams?

Decided to drop in.. I think the ISx50 is what sets the Lexus apart from the rest of the competition. being in the market of a luxury sports sedan, you go up against the following guys:

Bmw 3-Series
Infiniti G35
Benz C-class

Out of those 3, all three of them have coupe and 4 door except for ISx50. I actually thought wow, Lexus is strict about its line of products... which wat distinguished them as the "luxury class" offering only 1 kind.

if you look at it... even nissan altimas have 2door and 4 door and accords have them too. civics have them...

i guess lexus now wants to be the same

edit: excluding the convertible, of course if they can cost less to make a 2 door and charge more.... then of course corporate function wise, it would be smart.

Actually, it's usually more expensive to make a coupe because of:

--the amount of $$ used for research, design, and development for a low production vehicle; and

--to further engineer better structural integrity to the car upon side impact if the B-pillar is removed altogether.
