Default Old Exterior Trim

Hello everyone, what is everyone doing with the dried out ashy exterior trims? I used many trim restoration kits but like all none of them work or never last a car wash. I was thinking on repainting the trim or maybe even replacing it entirely. Any thoughts?

Boiled Linseed oil. Wipe on clean plastic, dries to a nice matte/satin finish of the original color. Lasts about a year, maybe more depending upon exposure/weather/etc. It dries slowly so best to leave the car in a garage or semi-protected area w/o dust blowing for a day or so.

I did this Volvo last month. I’ve tried a lot of things but this always comes out better/longer lasting.
