Just some low-light photos from last night. It had been a few days since I'd driven the car due to the weather, and I was itching to get some fresh air in something other than our X3.

 

Mountain run yesterday was fun! Narrowly missed an opportunity to get a photo with @DLPTony











Shout-out to Jackson, who ALSO has an IS 500, for bringing his M3 out for this run.

 

Would have loved to make it up and push the 500 fie thr first time but spent all day upgrading overhead storage in our 3rd bay garage so I can park the IS indoors. This garage only ever held a golf cart, freezer, refrigerator, and all the tubs and boxes you see here.

 

Hey, at least you were productive... After I got back home, I was so beat that I just kinda crashed instead of doing my laundry.

We would always love to have another driver! I am wondering if we need to get an ATL area IS 500 owner's club going.

 

Sounds good. Won't be able to make it the next two weekends as I have 3 autocrosses and family in town for the other day, but would love to make it up some time.

 

So many of the youtube reviewers mention that this car is such a sleeper. I dunno. I get all kinds of looks and folks coming up to me asking me what kind of car is this? is this a 4 door sports car? this car looks "fast", what a beautiful looking car, etc. etc. Seems it actually sticks out like a sore thumb if you ask me. LOL. Not that I mind.

I think you’re right though. Since the 2022 release, several have made their way to the used car market. They aren’t under lock and key like before, so test drives are possible. Additionally the bigger YT channels have a different (dare I say more favorable?) opinion now than in 2022.

The 500 is on more radars for sure, but many do not realize how deceptively fast and capable it is out of the box.
