Back in a is500. Was able to snag this launch edition 130. Previous owner had it lowered some and has some pretty dark tint. Will probably get it re tinted. May keep it lowered, looks pretty good
Wifey and I recently celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. I decided to get her a new car for having the consummate ability to spend 34 years wedded to me, and 43-years altogether. We had briefly discussed the IS 500 when it was first released, but I passed on it, holding out everlasting hope for a 2-gen IS-F.
When I decided to pursue another IS for her anniversary present, I fully expected her to select her third IS 350 F Sport. That said, I got her Lexus' 39-page brochure for MY24 and she spent the better part of a month studying it off and on. At the end of this process she had a list of questions for me that I worked hard to answer without favor and to ensure that whatever decision she made was 100% her's.
I was very pleasantly surprised when she chose the IS 500, along with the Iridium/Circuit Red combo and the Enkei split-spoke wheels. 'Whar, she blows!
Pics are from dealership just before she was loaded on the transporter. Her fraternal twin will be waiting for her:
@Moonman89 , thanks for the kind words. My IS-F is begging to be driven more and I'll be honoring that request going forward.
@DLPTony , my wife's last IS 350 F Sport was the Atomic Silver/Rioja Red combo, but neither was offered in the IS 500 for MY24. Interestingly, she selected the Circuit Red interior first before selecting an exterior color (our GX 460 is the Nebula Grey Pearl/Rioja Red combo).
Our only concern about the Circuit Red was that, from pics, it appears quite a bit brighter than the Rioja Red but, in reality, the colors are quite close and perfect for her. Independent of one another, we both thought Iridium was the color for her. It wasn't until the car was en route that I realized that Iridium was a special color and one included in the LC 500 Inspiration Series.

Trust me, you guys weren’t the only ones. 😂 My ‘16 IS350 F Sport was like my current… USB but with the rioja red interior. The circuit red pics left me with the “Oh boy…was this a good idea?” feeling. So glad I stuck to my guns! If nothing else, it’s a conversation piece. 😈
Iridium is pretty awesome, can’t wait to see more pics.
