Would anyone be able to confirm if the updated trunk door for the '26 IS350 is a 1:1 fit for our IS500? It would finally make the rear end look 'complete'. The new deck-lid spoiler would give it the aggressive appearance that I think the IS500 deserves. And the spelled-out "L E X U S" letters really ties it together pretty nicely. The new branding really makes it look like a luxury sports brand like Ferrari, Porsche or Range Rover imo. Studying my trunk carefully, unfortunately, the embossed logo on our current trunks wouldn't make this a simple swap of the new Lexus letters rear end and simply slapping them on there would leave a big embossed hole where the logo used to be. I'm also concerned that the new deck-lid spoiler would cover a portion of the logo if I decide to only do the spoiler. Not that I'm thinking doing this any time soon, just a little side project Im thinking of doing much later on when the warranty is long gone and the value takes a meaningful overall dip. I not big on spoilers - even tried to find an IS 500 without one originally. Fortunately, the IS 500 spoiler is not ostentatious and looks reasonably nice. The 2026 spoiler isn't too loud either, and the sculpting adds some nice definition. But that L E X U S lettering in place of the 'L' loop logo really has my attention - partially because I think it looks great, and partially because the letters are probably glued on (like the model letters/numbers are) which means de-badging would be a breeze.
If past experience is anything to go by, getting 25 to 26 rear deck lid fitment information from Lexus will be like pulling teeth - at least for me since I have no good connections. However, I'm sure there will be modders doing this if it's a straight swap, and soon enough eBay will have stuff for the 26 - if it fits the 25 and prior, I'm sure the listings will reflect that at some point.
LOL...the love for the 2026 is starting already as predicted
I know you kind of have the inside track on the 2026, so would you be able to tell me when it will finally be road tested? Or are we still quite a way out from that? Thanks!

Really agree with you on that point. I'm not huge on spoilers myself as long as they look tasteful yet aggressive. Not that the current spoilers look bad, but I just like the new spoilers a lot more. If the current IS350s are anything to go by, looking at the parts catalog, it's actually interchangeable with our 500s since they share the same part numbers which means they also hook right up on our hinges. So if the current 350s are interchangeable with the '26 IS (which is probably how we're going to end up finding out if it fits), that's a good indication that it'll hook right up and we only have to adapt the electronics on to it. I just worry that since it'll most likely have a different part number, the parts catalogs will just say it won't fit only because of that reason.
A thought, if you have the part number, have you tried plugging it into ChatGPT or similar and ask it cross references between the two models and year?

I don't really have any inside track/info on these - I just predicated that despite the initial hate on the 2026, that once people started seeing it more, that the love would gradually come I do suspect these will start arriving at dealer very soon TBH
Personally, I'd love to have the 26 trunk lid so it doesn't have the Lexus emblem. However, I still much prefer the OG spoiler over the new version. Is it worth getting a new lid ($~700) + painting it ($1K+)? No...not remotely for me.

The 2026 model is already showing up for sale at Southern California Lexus dealers. Of course, when you look at the actual car, it provides a VIN and it says, "In Production". So it will probably be pretty soon that these will have reviews on them.
