This is too bad. I was really hoping to see a next gen IS500.

Thanks for the V8 sedan Lexus!

Thanks for confirming what my dealer had indicated. I suspect that the regular IS models may not go that long to allow for the production of the 1000 IS 500 UE/Climax edition between NA and Japan. Get them while you can folks, this is a great car! I suspect the IS 350 will also be done? They just mentioned the 300/500 unless the 350 was not available in Japan?

It still hurts to hear that even if we suspected it. I’m even more glad now that I got mine last year.

Looking at you Mustangs and Stingrays to keep the NA V8 alive.

Yea I noticed production numbers have really slowed down. If there's anyone still on the fence about getting a new IS 500, get off the fence and get one!

IS350 I am guessing maybe coming back as Turbo 4Cyl, not the ones found in the RX or NX but G20E Engine from the Tokyo Auto Salon in the mid-engine GR Yaris.

Toyota Times @ 21:15 you can clearly see it's an IS interior

A new generation IS with the 3.4TT V6 would have been very appealing to me.

Let's say they called it an IS 400 with AWD and I would probably have bought one. The IS future looks very unclear right now.

^^ I agree - I think this is the end of the line for the IS as we know it, It may be brought back as an hybrid or EV but the golden years of the IS are coming to an end and that makes me sad. That being said, I would be a prime candidate for an EV sports car given that I drive only short hops, never in the winter and is always sleeping a climate controlled garage....But it has no soul! If something super sexy comes along, maybe
