Default Transmission Fluid Drain and Change without dropping filter/ Pan

Wondering if anyone here knows if the ATF can be simply drained and refilled again without dropping the filter/ pan? Also how much ATV does the IS500 take?

If someone can direct me towards a good guide on ATF oil change that would be amazing. Worst case, I will try to get the info from TIS.

Also thinking of switching to Valvoline Maxlife as the reviews for Toyota ATF is not the best.

Since we have the same 8 speed as the IS350, I would suspect the YouTube videos on it would apply towards ours too. There’s a drain and overfill bolts on the bottom of the pain and a fill bolt on the driver’s side of the transmission. You do need the car perfectly level and the transmission up to temp when doing the final fill of the transmission. I miss the time when transmissions had dipsticks and you could fill them from the top!
