Default Key and Buzzer Gremlin

Hi all! Just joined the Lexus family on the last day of 2022. I have under 200 miles on my IS500 and it is giving me some issues already.

The buttons on the key fob stopped working, but the keyless entry still worked. Car starts up and drives fine. I took it to the dealer and they “rebooted the computer” and key fob buttons work now.

The issue now is that the lock and unlock sounds don’t work. I played with the customization settings in the infotainment but still no go. Strangely though, the long beep works when I press lock when a door is left open. So I know the exterior speaker is still OK. Also, the trunk button on my key fob pops the trunk with a single quick press instead of a hold. Panic button doesn’t work either. Has anyone encountered this in their car?

PS I’d like to add that the key fob buttons and lock/unlock beep was working the day I bought the car. It stopped working about two days later.

Hello,
I had the same issue with my new 2023 IS-500. The dealership had to 'reprogram' the remotes and everything works fine now. I didn't have the 'sound' issues but had the same exact issues with the remote buttons.
Have your dealership reprogram your remotes.
Hope it works out for you!
