I stopped driving my car to avoid a complete bumper damage.
With all these minor issues creeping in like CEL, Apron and Fuel pump replacement.
How reliable do you guys think this specific 2022 models will be in long run?
Is it safe to buy extended warranty for these cars?
Not sure if Lexus carries the same reliability as it use.

While the engine might be "bulletproof" the other components or build quality is no better than any other company.

^^ Well, I had multiple Lexus products in the past and I never had any issues and while many will say "That is what you get for buying a 1st year model", my thoughts are the part shortage and outsourcing to other suppliers IMO is the biggest culprit. I wish Lexus would have built less and keep their quality but we should have known when they released a statement several months ago stating they would use "less than perfect parts" that other quality issues would creep in.

So far, mine is still flawless but it certainty creates some anxiety seeing all these issues pop up (or pop out)

If this car was mass produced I would sell it in a heartbeat because the quality is pretty bad. I'm quite certain it will have issues past its warranty. It's its rarity that keeps me holding onto it. Hopefully its rise in value will be greater than the cost of all the repairs it will need.

Truer words were never spoken

GSF - 2,484 were made over those four years. I think IS 500 will have the similar number
With the latest production delays and part shortages. I think the rare colors like Grecian water might be more valued than LE.

But the GS F was WAAAAY overpriced! I couldn't believe the performance for the price, decided to go with a C7 instead. The GS F was $30k too expensive, or 2 seconds to 60/1320 too slow.

Interestingly nobody on the 3IS forum has started a front bumper separation thread, and there are wayyy more 350s out there than 500s. I wonder why nobody has come forward? Without that Lexus corporate will be far less likely to recognize it.

A local Chevrolet dealer 35 minutes away from me has a 2020 GSF on their used car lot & it's $81,840.00. I really like the GSF but that is in the range of a brand new M3 Competition.

Also in brand new M550i territory as well. I know, reliability and all that, but come on. Way too much money for what you get. The IS 500 is priced a lot better.

Very few dealers sold at MSRP in the USA
I called about 35+ dealers when car hunting back in jan
none of the dealers with current inventory we’re willing to sell at msrp.
Got Lucky to find one with msrp and some useful packages.

when I see this price, it makes me wish I pulled the trigger when my dealer offered me a 2020 GSF brand new $15,000 off MSRP (prior to pandemic) .

Got mine for MSRP in south Houston, TX. Feel lucky regardless of these small issues
