I wonder if it’s related to the heat of the engine.

I do notice some unusual things in the interior of my car related to heat I’m not sure if normal or not:

-When I turn on the fan (not the AC) it blows warm air even after several minutes of running. My previous cars all used to blow slightly cool air often making it possible to avoid using the AC in many situations.

- The entire soft touch front dash area is super hot after highway driving compared to the same material on the front door. I’m not sure if this is because I have tinted side windows and not a tinted windshield.
Mine is happening on both sides, with driver’s side being much more pronounced. Can’t push it all the way back in to what would be a normal gap, and the portion of the gap closest to the wheel well has completely closed, with the apron part ~3mm recessed versus the fender part.

The car seems to generate a crap ton of heat, but I figured it was due to the V8 itself. The only issue I’ve seen to date on mine is a weak key fob response. For my previous cars, I could point the fob to the moon and the car would acknowledge it. I have to stop and verify the lights blink to ensure it’s locked.
Key fob and HomeLink (garage door buttons) both have significantly less range versus what my other Lexus & Toyotas have and had.

I remember being able to set on & off my old 4Runner’s alarm from the 51st floor of a building I worked at as people walked by it in the parking lot across the street. My GX behaves similarly and can open the garage door from nearly a block away. Have to be within 15 ft for IS500’s key fob to work and ~30ft of the garage for HomeLink to work.

I noticed mine an hour after I picked it up from my 5K service. Considering how easily I noticed, there has to be something to that service and the effect.

mine look about the same as yours. 🤷‍♂️

Just checked mine, it's sagging too. My baby needs a face lift already, she ain't even that old!

I guess I'll just have the dealer fix it when I go for an oil change next month.

Mine only has 1400 miles, never left in the sun. Only TX summer heat in a garage. Only taken on 2-3 highway trips of 60 miles round trip each. Seems it's just another **** assembly detail like the gasket issue.

I’m having the same problem. I’m going in for an oil change tomorrow. Will see what the say about warranty repair for this. Sucks that others are having this problem, but should help with Lexus paying to fix it.

Yep I'm super interested what they say to anybody going in for service that wants them to fix this. A $70k car shouldn't have this issue unresolved.

Went to the dealer today. Service advisor told me that the separation would be fixed under warranty, but they could not do it because they are not a Lexus approved body shop. They had me setup an appointment with the body shop that is owned by the dealer that is Lexus approved. Appointment is next week.

Got the estimate from the body shop today. $250 to fix it. Service Advisor at Lexus said to proceed with getting work scheduled. I am about to go on vacation, so it will not get fixed until July.

Why a body shop? Your local dealer isn’t equipped to do it? Or do you not trust them?

Quick question even though the estimate is $250.00 Lexus Warranty is paying for it?

Lexus dealer is not certified to do warranty body work. So had to go to body shop (owned by dealer) that is certified to do warranty work. I'm guessing they will direct bill the dealer.
