Hmmm… I’ve mostly bought used cars over the years, and it really irks me that original buyers cheap out and don’t get all the available options. Come on guys, think about the next owner of your car, I want all the options!

For me the sunroof/moonroof is a must. What packages do we need on a IS500 to get that? I know for my 2021 Tacoma, I basically had to pay $4500 to get the premium package, to get the moonroof.

Appreciate the info

The larger touch screen is worth it all by itself, it's very responsive and easy to use. They should be standard across the models so they could remove the track pad and make room for some of the hidden buttons/switches like the electronic brake.

Agreed! 100% More importantly, I have never seen one that was NOT a premium package up for sale in my general area. Come to think of it, I've rarely seen one without the BBS wheels. Like maybe 1 in 5.

My thoughts below...
  • Rear sunshade: Meh. It does class the car up a bit, but I would trade it for self folding mirrors.
  • Triple beam LED headlights: Not sure if they work better, but they sure look cool!
  • Panoramic view: Didn't think I would care but I end up using it a lot. High hood makes it difficult to see how close I am to a curb. Also, my garage fit is pretty tight.
  • Navigation system: Don't need. I use Android Auto. Though, if Lexus built in nav has traffic and map updates, which I think they do, I should give it a try one of these days.
  • 8" screen: Big time care. That was my primary driver to be honest. I've seen an 8" in person on IS 350 and it looked sad and budget with those two thick side bezels on either side.
  • ML stereo: I'm sure regular one would be fine.

Wish they could slice and dice them. Just want ML and the bigger screen. Don't care about the other stuff. Especially hate black wheels so BBS is a lot of $$$ for something I actively don't want. Oh well. I doubt they'll make many bases next year given what we saw this year.

Not a huge fan of black wheels either, that is until I saw them in person on a white car. Having said that, black wheels are color subjective. May or may not be to everyone tastes depending on car color.

Color aside, I do like the fact that they are forged vis cast. Forged wheels tend to be a lot more durable.

The BBS wheels are a standalone option. You can, technically, get a Premium with the Enkeis.

Well, technically is right. Nearly every single unit this year has shipped with them. Hoping that changes for MY24 but not holding my breath.
