I have a brand new 2025 IS500 Ultimate Edition that come stock with the large Brembo calipers. I live in Central NJ and temps get quite low here so I really want to run a square (non-staggered) dedicated winter tire & wheel setup.
I am considering a square setup with 19x8.5 OEM IS500 Enkei wheels in the front and rear. I would really like to use the front OEM Enkei wheels from prior IS500 years which come in the size of 19x8.5 and use them on the front and rear of my Ultimate Edition with Michelin X-ICE 235/40 R19/XL 96H tires. Now from what I understand, this setup is not the most "ideal" setup because I hear that what is best is a square setup of 18x8.5 on dedicated winter tires (235/45 R18). However, due to the limitations the Brembo calipers introduce, I have to stick with 19 inch wheels at minimum I believe. Even though not the most ideal setup, I feel it will provide a lot more confidence and peace of mind when driving in NJ winter over a staggered all season tire setup.
So I plan to choose one of the following Lexus OEM Enkei wheels as a set of 4 of course (part # differ due to finish) Pretty sure these are the correct part #'s
part# 42611-WY320 (Matte Black Finish) <--- not sure about this one...I don't think there was ever an OEM Enkei wheel in matte black
Using these wheels in the rear will cause the OEM spec of +60mm offset to drop to +45mm which I hope is not a problem. This also eliminates the need of any hub centric rings as they are OEM wheels.
I hope my Lexus service dept will perform this for me as it is a brand new car and I really don't want to drive my IS500 with all seasons on a staggered setup in winter, and definitely not on summer tires in winter!
We don't get that much snow here but I don't really plan to drive it in anything more than an inch or 2 of snow. I am mostly concerned with having the most traction as possible in freezing temps.
So please let me know your thoughts if this is a good idea and if it sounds like everything will fit and go seamless.
Also I plan to buy the Enkei wheels brand new from Lexus Parts Dept and have them ceramic coated at a really good shop near me. Then I will take the Enkei wheels to Lexus dealer and have them install the Michelin X-ICE tires and OEM TPMS sensors etc.
I know this is a pricey move but I actually really love the Enkei OEM wheels.
I was also considering a square (non-staggered) aftermarket setup of:
Enkei Helix wheels: 19x8.5 +40mm offset
However, the concern then becomes is if the design of this wheel will have enough spoke clearance to safely clear the brembo caliper. I believe the 19inch wheel only ensures there is enough barrel clearance, leaving fitment still in question
Please let me know what you think of my plan

Several other members have already confirmed that the IS-F and RC F Brakes do not work with the Enkei rims. I suspect the UE Calipers will not work with the Enkei rims either. The older 2022-2024 IS 500 BBS or the newer Gloss black 2025 BBS should work. Seems most of the used BBS sets out there are fetching $2250-3000+, depending on condition and with or without the stock Potenza tires. You may want to look into aftermarket rims. Best of luck.

Wow that is such a bummer I was excited that it would work! Now I am back at square one again having limited options such as the super expensive OEM BBS wheels you mentioned.
There is an aftermarket wheel called the BBS SR 029 but the question always remains whether it will clear the caliper without extra parts or modificaitons
Another possible option with fitment still in question is the Enkei Helix:
I really only want to go with Enkei or BBS and maintain an aesthetically pleasing look
Sucks because I can't even get to drive this car that much right now until I get a winter setup installed. I am still on the stock summer tires

..
I believe this is the OEM BBS Fronts that came optioned on the IS500s before the UE.
As others have mentioned, the OEM Enkeis will not clear the Brembos in the front without spacers. I ended up getting Braelin BR10 with +35 offset (BR10-1985-65BN+35C601) which had similar design as the Enkeis. Another member mentioned that they couldn't find it in the States, but google is showing that there is a online based vendor that does carry them, you might have to reach-out to them directly if you're interested!
@sfzxr89 Thanks! I am really trying to get as many options as I can. I am feeling that if I get something else then I will have to order 1 wheel and have a test fit done. Easiest thing to do is just go with the OEM BBS wheels prior to the Ultimate Edition but the price of a new set is totally insane for winter driving especially
I don't even think Lexus dealer will know what fits for sure outside of OEM. I was going to ask them for some options as well
^^ If you look at that post I menttioned, the UE owner confirmed it fit (the wheel that is suggested above). I agree, payimg 2500$ for an OEM wheel as a winter set is way overkill IMO.
Also, another member mentioned that having 2 sets of TPMS will require that you have them re-programed every time you swap them so you may want to learn to live with the light on. That is what I do with my winter car.
Why not put winter tires on the current OEM wheels and decide about the next set for summer? That way, you get to enjoy the car now with aesthetics as what you’ve mentioned. That’s what I did. 😆

Because I want a square (non-staggered) setup to allow for tire rotation and "even" traction for safety, and also so the winter tires can last me for as long as possible.
Call me crazy but I might just say to hell with it all, and get a set of four OEM 19x8.5 BBS matte wheels that are guaranteed to fit the ultimate edition. I think there is a 12% sale or something going on now or maybe I can work something out w/ pricing with dealer being that it is a brand new car.
I am considering the Braelin wheels though that was mentioned. If I can't get a set of those then I may order 1 or 2 wheels I have in mind and have a fitment test done
I am also hoping that 235/40 R19 tires will won't cause any problems in the rear as that is not the OEM spec for the rear tires

On the topic of TPMS, you can just get an aftermarket set that can clone the ID of your stock ones and you'll be fine. Won't have to hassle with resetting/relearning.
@sfzxr89 Okay so Braelin looks like it manufactures the BR10 to meet many different dimensions according to the application list on caliwheels dot com
The dimensions are broken down in the name BR10-1985-65GM+35C601
BR10: Model name (Braelin BR10).
19: Diameter in inches (19").
85: Width in inches (8.5").
65: Bolt Pattern (5x114.3mm, with '65' representing the 5x114.3 PCD).
BN: Finish (Gloss Black - "BN" for Black, "GM" for Graphite, etc.).
+35: Offset (ET35 or +35mm).
C601: Center Bore (60.1mm), sometimes represented as just '60.1
You did not need a hub centric ring right? This wheel looks like a good fit on paper but is it a tight fit / close call at all?
I may go with this Braelin wheel but in the Matte Graphite Finish. I don't think I can stomach dropping almost $6k on a set of OEM BBS wheels and be paranoid about potholes and other potential damage to them. I can save though almost $1k on the OEM's because Lexus is running an online special with 12% off and big discount on shipping. Would come out to $1,466 per wheel after all discounts

^ yup, those are the exact specs! The only thing that was required were new lug bolts as the OEM ones were ball seated, and these are conical. To me, it's a perfect flush fit, here's a pic of mine from a week ago -
I'm all for OEM++, but it's just winter rims, as long as they're well built, I didn't see a point of spending so much just for "OEM".
@sfzxr89 So a square setup of 19x8.5 inch wheels with 235/40 R19 tires are a perfect fit for this car? I am thinking of going with OEM 2024 IS500 BBS forged wheels. I can get a good deal on them.
