I will say Invisible Glass is nice stuff, but also not very strong. It won't do much against real grime. It's very safe, but for glass exterior with no coatings you're going to be better off with some kind of actual glass cleaner.
I've been extremely happy with Gtechniq G6 Perfect Glass - it has no scents, colors, nothing. Combined with a clean and properly washed waffle weave microfiber, you can actually have zero residue.
Chemical Guys auto glass cleaner has worked well, but just a bit more residue.
Avoid Windex proper and stuff with ammonia unless you can keep it off the plastic.
+1 For the Chemical Guys. I haven’t experienced any residue, but I will flip the cloth and wipe it again. e.g., Will do one half, do the other, then go back with the dry side for both.
When I had mine replaced, the high-end detailers were in the PPF testing phase and it wasn’t available. I opted for ceramic coating; but as another person said, it does not prevent pitting. I have done next to no mountain runs this year, so I’m sure that’s why it still looks decent. 😜 Will look into the clay bar method and ask my detailer if I’m still a PPF candidate.
