Well that explains a lot! Yeah I've also noticed this website does weird things.

The 5k mile oil changes on the IS500 have more to do with it being a high performance engine that operates under a lot of stress and generates high temperatures, potentially degrading the oil faster. It has nothing to do with metal shavings.
