Was just told by sales guy from DVN Lexus that they have an incognito/black in stock I swear I’m not getting paid by any of these dealers lol just spreading the words

 

Anybody know how long it takes to get from Vancouver to Edmonton once already on the train? ETA moved again for the 2nd time. It's now Aug. 6 - 10. This is driving me nuts! Lol

 

probably couple of days but it is long weekend and depends if it is going thru Calgary before it heads north

 

was told by my sales guy system shows the car will arrive between 8/10-14, fingers crossed!

 

Do you know which train service they use and any way to track it? I've read of some threads here saying so.

 

Sales guy told me this morning the car arrived! A few days ahead of schedule. Will hopefully take delivery early next week!

 

For those of you in the GTA, has anyone done undercarriage corrosion protection? Wonder if this is necessary for the winter here

Thanks! Yeah black on red. Picking it up Saturday. I wanted the illuminated door sills and still waiting for them to be delivered from Vancouver 😒 Car got to the dealership in the afternoon today and hasn't been PDI'd yet. I gotta sort out my insurance still anyway. Couldn't get it set up without pics of the car on all sides plus the Bill of Sale. Apparently this is a new thing now.

 

Do you mind disclosing how much the illuminated sills cost you? I was considering them as well

 

Alright, regarding the "Placing an order" vs "Getting one of the allocations already in the pipeline when you 'place an order'". So, and this is for Canadian orders, sales guy reiterated that when an order is placed for low volume models like the IS500, LC500 and a couple of the high end SUVs, they are actually built to spec (within the options available) when an order is placed. Lexus Japan doesn't provide these models to dealerships in Canada unless there is an order placed and the vehicle already sold as they are low volume and do not want it sitting on the lot. Makes sense to me. So maybe in the US when one "places an order" the sales guy at the dealership tries to find the spec you "ordered" within their allocations but my sales guy said that the US system is quite different than for us Canadians.

And, he said they are still taking orders for IS500s! He hasn't heard any news that the IS500 is getting axed for 2026. He's not saying that it lives on for sure with the current gen but just that there hasn't been any official word on a new gen for the IS for 2026. And apparently the Ultimate Edition will be a lottery system for the Canadian dealers. He doesn't know if they're gonna get one.

 

Exact price shown on Lexus.ca plus GST. So about $750 for me with 5% GST.

Man buying this car was the easiest. No haggling, no high pressure sales tactics just straight up transaction like going in to order a pizza.

I went in, said I wanted an IS500 in black/red. Sales guy said ok. I asked how much all in OTD. We spat out numbers 3x. Deal closed with a handshake and a small deposit. Done in 20 minutes. Less than 3 months later, car arrives as promised (he originally estimated 3-4 months for delivery and it came in 1 week under 3 months). Got exactly what I ordered. I just gotta get my bank draft tomorrow, hand it to the sales guy on Saturday then off I go.

 

Oh and I asked the sales guy to keep it inside the dealership until I pick it up so it doesn't sit on the lot exposed to the elements and he said no problem. Drove it in right away.
