Yeah, you can always get a 350 in the future - it will be there for a few years to come. But the UE is last of its kind, unique, and the opportunity to ****** it is right now.

@tonymac1 The 245/275 fit great on the new wheels and should not be a problem with the Enkeis as well. See this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ei-wheels.html
i just realized you have the canadian spec so maybe it's different than the US units by a little.

To the new owners of the UE, I have a question of two.

If you had an IS 500 before, do you notice a significant difference with the new brakes?

Do these brakes/rotors produce a lot of dust?

I believe they have better brakes and that usually comes with more dust.

^^ That is what I was worried about (lol) - I am OCD with keeping my cars clean and I guess this will require more elbow grease! The 500 I have now rarely shows any brake dust on my wheels and easy to keep clean. I recall that the pads even on the Corolla Hatch were notorious for putting that rusty deposit all over the wheels even after a single trip to town. I can only imagine how these slotted rotors will look like - Lord have mercy! I will have to schedule my appointments with my therapist in my frequent intervals (lol)

You don't know the pain at all. Try having to clean BMW 788 wheels on an M2 Competition. They were dirty after 1 day of driving.

yeah, brake dust is one of my irrational hatreds. You might want to see if G-LOC makes pads for the UE calipers. Their GS-1 street pads produce very little dust and have a decent upper temperature for street pads. I use the GS-1 on the Z06 for daily driving and the RS-10 for track events.

^^ Let's just say I have a credible source that something is in the works

BTW - I was to a Lexus dealer that had a white IS with the white interior! I almost had shorts with a white interior too!! OMG I forgot HOW MUCH I loved the white interior! I am trying to get my GF to get it for her car but she won't budge (tough cookie). If I still want a white interior after a few years of my UE, I'll trade then.

I would need to be placed in an institution if I did (lol)

Question to all newer Lexus IS 500/350 owners with the powered telescopic steering wheel - I know that there is a customization setting in the menu where you can turn off the "seat pull back for easy access in and out of the car" - Does that also stop the steering from retracting or that feature always stays on?

I just came across this yesterday because I was trying to turn off the darn automatic Freeway Exit list from popping up on my screen after I got my transmission reflashed. Answer is I don't know for certain - there's a Full, Half, and Off setting for the auto pullback and I don't know if Half means no steering wheel or not. I didnt try it.
