I've always felt like Tesla's approach to this system was half-assed and this is even more half-assed than the Tesla setup and there are plenty of examples of it doing ridiculous **** and causing accidents. No way this is better than their built-in system and that's the automotive low-bar.
Not super big on these sorts of systems being in use out on public roads without any regulation personally and would never trust a third party box like this with my life, the lives of my passengers, or the lives of those around me on the road.
Try it for an hour in heavy freewatraffic after a long day of work and I think you’ll see it’s more practical than just bragging rights. It’s a big improvement over the stock system. You get to skip the boring driving and focus on the fun driving!
Yeah man, like I said " Personally, I see.." --- as in it was simply my opinion. I drove from San Antonio to Austin for a full year (Mon-Fri) on I-35, all during construction. I dealt with tires, ladders, mattresses, and foreign objects all the time. Compound this with stop and go traffic, jerks in their BMW thinking they have a heart transplant in the back seat, Asian women, and old people --- let's just say you and I will agree to disagree. There is nothing wrong with you feeling the way you do and me completely on the other side of the fence. No one should feel the need to be my wife and try to sell me on wine when I am a whiskey guy. Every time we go out for drinks she's like " Well try this one. It has a less earthy taste. You might enjoy the soft silky tannis..." ---- nah bruh, I'm good with my Macallan, neat.
