Default Issues with AC

Anyone have issues with the AC? When I turn it on I hear that mechanical hiss like the AC is charging… but the hiss doesn’t stop and really cold air doesn’t come out. It’s not hot air, but it’s not cold. There doesn’t seem to be difference in temperature if I turn the AC off either.

Wondering if it might be covered by dealer as a ‘22 model?

No issues here, super cold! The Lexus warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles so it should be covered.

The car will still heat/cool the incoming air even with the AC off. All of my Lexus vehicles have done it. I dont think I can hear a hiss with it off, though.

Yeah if you have it off then turn AC on, iirc it should hiss for a few seconds then it should stop hissing and it’ll just be the sound of (cold) air coming through the vents.

I took my car in to the dealer and they discovered when my bumper was swapped out and sensors recalibrated, their collision repair center drained some of the Freon and didn’t fill it all the way up again. The service advisor was saying the slight drain is normal if the bumper is removed but it should have been fully recharged.

either way, I’ve got cold air again too!
