I have a Cloudburst Gray IS 500 reserved that should be delivered to the dealership by Monday at the latest. I was lucky enough to get the base dark Enkeis—which are my favorite compared to the BBS’s and the earlier light metallic Enkeis. However, I’m not so sure how good they’ll look on a Cloudburst car. Seems like it might be too monotone, especially after FINALLY finding a pic of this combo:



Does anyone else here have this color & wheel combo? If so, what are your thoughts? Am I just overthinking this?

 

My old RC was nebula gray and had Anthracite apex wheels. They were more or less the same color, and at first I was the same as you, thought it was monotone, but I actually really liked the look. Its super classy.

Opinions are like a******* but I love the Enkeis and hate them with Cloudburst. At first I wanted that color but more and more it seems out of fashion to me. I'm going for Caviar/Red or Atomic/Black but it MUST have the dark Enkeis.

* As I stare at the pic I would say hate is a strong word and Cloudburst with the Enkeis is nice but definitely not my #1

 

cloudburst looks better w/ 2022 silver enkei or the matte BBS, dark enkei looks good on colors that pops, like calviar, atomic, usb, infrared and grecian... but don't know if they will change the wheels or if they switch color again for 2024 rims or if they gonna keep the same dark enkei...

 

I actually have seen this color combo, with red interior. Its similar to what one of my customers cars. He got rid of the BBS wheels that came with the car and traded it with someone else. Personally I like the color combo. Its very sleek and very under the radar almost.

EDIT: My customer did tint his car shortly after purchasing and swapping wheels. The car does look monotone with dark tint

 

I appreciate the opinions. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see... I figure worst-case scenario is that if I don’t like it, it probably wouldn’t be too hard to find somebody who’d be willing to swap for the dark Enkeis.

Cloudburst looks amazing with the 22MY Enkeis. I like the contrast between the dark grey and the lighter colored wheels.

 

In my opinion (for what it is worth), this is the only color combination with the dark Enkei wheels that works for me given they are actually dark gray and not black...NICE!
