Good deal - my OCD just notched down. Of course my wife seems to think she confirmed I'm nuts when she walked out while I was filming.

If I recall correctly, my IS 350 also started up like this on occasion. But this is a different car with a different starter. Hard to say. Are there any other symptoms or signs?

I want to say I had a weird interruption in power once. I was just cruising at like 35 MPH and was trying to maintain speed up a hill, and it felt like something cut in and I felt the power fade for a brief moment before coming back. This happened literally one time, so I was going to chalk it up to the transmission being weird while cold or something of that nature. I had only been driving for about 5 minutes or so after a cold start when it happened.

yea that’s how mine sounded too. Maybe that wasn’t actually a symptom of this problem. Who knows. 12k miles on ours.

That's how they all sound. Y'all really gotta stop overanalyzing this car. Vibrations through the shifter, smells with WOT, off-centered "500." I can't wait to see what is next.

Fuel pump, exhaust leaks, apron separation. Those are real issues. But I wouldn't worry until you actually get them.

Everyone needs to learn how to just enjoy it like @DLPTony

I'm going to be honest. The off-center "500" stinks. My IS 350 did not have this problem, and the only difference was a couple digits.

I never said I wasn't paranoid. Lol why do you think I didn't last more than 8 months with my GTI? It had so many little quirks and weird issues. My 2016 Lexus never did. It was always smooth. I have been spoiled.

Off center 500? First I'm hearing of this. What do you mean?

Lol oh I'm about to ruin your day....

Look at your IS500 badge. You'll notice the 5 0 and 0 aren't aligned perfectly.

Without going too far off-topic, there's a couple of existing posts on this, starting here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l#post11531287

Basically, the "5" is a little crooked on some owners' cars.

LOL!! Almost 17k miles and climbing in 16 1/2 months!

My IS 500 numbers are centered and that’s all I’m gonna say, because mine has not had any of y’all’s issues so far. 🫣 I’m trying to keep Blu off the radar, ‘gremlin free’, and no golems in the gears. 😉😜

Hi, Unable,
Sorry to hear about your car, My LE is still at the dealership waiting for parts for my 2nd fuel pump failure in a year, My parts are scheduled to arrive by August 2nd, but I am not holding my breath, Been without my car since June 30th, I have a Canadian version so parts are harder to get unlike the United States where they seem to be more plentiful. Good luck with your repairs.

lol I love this.

Got to drive the car a couple times since last post, and it has started up right away on first crank. It must have seen my posts here and gotten its act together.
